What are Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)?
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic events occurring before age 18, including neglect, abuse, and family dysfunction. These experiences can have profound long-term effects on an individual's well-being, health, and happiness.
The CDC-Kaiser Permanente ACE Study shows that 64% of adults have at least one ACE, and that people with four or more ACEs are associated with significantly increased risk for 7 out of 10 leading adult causes of death, including heart disease, stroke, cancer, COPD, diabetes, Alzheimer's and suicide.

Can you heal Adverse Childhood Experiences?
It used to be thought that we were born with a fixed genetic blueprint that determined our traits, behaviors, and health. Now, discoveries in the field of epigenetics have radically rebooted this theory by demonstrating that our DNA is more of a switchboard than a blueprint.
Epigenetics is the study of how external forces, such as your environment, beliefs, and life experiences, trigger on-off mechanisms on the genetic switchboard.
The beliefs set in place during a traumatic event continue to inform you. A typical belief that “life is not safe and I can’t relax” is a non-stop input throughout your life, leading to toxic stress, and fear.
This causes your “red alert” warning system to be stuck at “on”. Once this belief is actually changed to “life is safe and I can relax”, cellular response immediately changes leading to increased normalization of all biological functions.

The TAT Program utilizes a unique method that has helped in healing the effects of ACEs. Using TAT can allow you to directly affect and change your traits, behaviors and health at the genetic level.
It combines focused attention (The Steps of TAT) and specific acupressure points (The TAT Pose) to facilitate emotional release and recovery. This process can not only aid in removing your connection to past traumas but it can also pave the way for a more peaceful, balanced, and happy life.

Over 30 years of experience with hundreds of thousands of people have demonstrated that using the simple TAT process can work for healing ACEs. Tapas Fleming, founder and creator of TAT, discovered early on in her practice that many of the issues we face as adults could be traced back to childhood abuse and trauma. Once she became familiar with ACE Study she began creating a complete, guided, self-healing process. That process manifested as the Healing ACEs with The TAT Program, that includes recordings for the original 10 ACEs and six of the possible outcomes of ACEs faced as an adult.

A full TAT session that will take approximately 20 minutes, when you need a session but don’t have time for one of the Lessons.
A quick round of TAT to help when you’re feeling stressed and need to take the edge off or when you feel nervous about an appointment, work, or a social gathering and you want to relax quickly.
It’s natural to not come back to being fully in your body after many life circumstances. Typical events include: car accidents, surgery, physical traumas, emotional traumas, sexual or physical abuse. Being raised in families with alcohol, drug or other active addictions are happening, emotionally toxic work environments, and even prolonged periods of intense stress or illness. Being fully in your body is necessary for healing.
These webinars all start with Tapas Fleming answering your questions about TAT or the program. She then guides everyone through a full TAT session and generally will have a few minutes at the end of the webinar for participants to share about their experiences, if they would like to.
These webinars are normally the first Tuesday of every month and rotate starting times from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Pacific Standard Time every other month to make it easier for your schedules and time zones. The upcoming webinar schedule and recordings of all the previous webinars are available to you in your membership resources when you sign up for the program.
If you are new to TAT, all the tools and guidance you need are included in this program. You will learn how to do TAT as you are guided step-by-step through each of the recordings. Creator and Founder of TAT®
After many years dedicated to facilitating personal growth, my journey led me to explore the realms of physical and energetic healing. In 1987, I became a Licensed Acupuncturist, focusing my practice on treating allergies.
My quest for a simple and effective treatment method inspired the development of the TAT in 1993. Initially, my goal was to alleviate allergic reactions in my patients. However, I quickly discovered that TAT had a much broader impact: it was gently and easily clearing the effects of past stressful or traumatic experiences.
